Poor chubby babies get stuck and cry!! Not a good idea at all. I've also heard that it leads to spine problems later in life forcing a child to sit when their body is incapable of it at the time. Why force something they'll get to in time?? Maybe it takes time for them to build those sit muscles for a reason?!!

Our son really liked the bumbo seat. We used it for a while with the tray before we bought a high chair.

I was very excited to try the Bumbo...even before my son was born! But, I was disappointed that he didn't show much interest in it. He always wanted to get out of it fairly quickly. He just doesn't like being confined, I guess.

I really like the bumbo. My son loved it from the time he could hold his head up. I also have the tray that attaches. We used it for a while before we got a high chair.

This was great for when my son was wanting to be up and see what was going on around him but couldn't sit up on his own yet. He was not a chubby baby, so we were able to use it for quite a while.
